This project is representative of a number of applications which Clause:1 has been involved in, which demonstrate how careful and informed site selection and diligent preparation and management of a planning application can substantially increase the yield from a project. In this case, the project involved a proposal to develop a larger than usual residential lot, with four additional dwellings to the rear of the existing dwelling (five in total).
Clause:1 was initially engaged to provide advice regarding the development potential of the site prior to its purchase, and to prepare and manage the planning permit application through Council. After detailed liaison with the architects, a design response was prepared and lodged. Planning permission was obtained to construct four more dwellings on the lot as originally advised.
