Planning Fees to Increase  

Council planning fees set under the Planning and Environment (Fees) Regulations (2016) are set to rise commencing 1 July 2021. In the Regulations, fees are expressed in fee units, the number of fee units applicable to any application will depend on the type of application and its estimated value of works.   

The 2021-2022 the fee unit value is $15.03, compared to 2019-2020 fee unit value of $14.81, with no increase in 2020, due to Covid-19. The Council fees will be converted to dollar amounts rounded to the nearest 10 cents.

Please check with your respective Councils prior to lodging your application.
