Project: Five-Storey Commercial and Residential Development

This project will inject new life into an almost forgotten corner of Albion, with a five storey corner building containing shops and apartments. The underlying Business 1 Zone (now Commercial 1), proximity to the Sunshine Principal Activity Centre and Albion Train Station, and the corner site location provided a good strategic basis for a higher density development. The plans were developed with advice and assistance from Clause:1 on parking design, building layout, external design, landscaping and building utilities. The development of the ground floor into shops and the shared entry to the dwelling component significantly improve the public interface with the street. We expect that upon construction, the building will encourage further redevelopment on properties nearby which are also zoned Commercial 1 and are close to the Albion Train Station.
